What was that siren?
Every Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm, there is a siren test. This test is to help make sure that the siren is working properly. It also allows for the fire department to test to make sure that their calls are going out to their members properly. The siren is the fire whistle. In April, the tornado whistle is tested during the severe weather week.
